A different study programme

At this moment I’m studying PLASTIC arts, and this year the study progamme change a lot, and even the name has change to VISUAL arts, and in a general view they are very different. This new study plan has another vision they cover multiples techniques (engraving, sculpture, painting, etc) in one year they have many things, and how I get this is a sort of journey in multiples areas of visual arts, in the plan I’m actually coursing is something like a specialization, we take an specific area for three years and we graduate with a specialization in the paper. This career take five years along, and I think is just too little, the new plan is even more short four years, and If I can change the study programme this is the first thing on my list, I would add two years or even three because the last one is for thesis (and probably more things related).

I think that theory classes are important, but some classes are useless (except for history all the classes were cool) and that time can be used in other things, they need to be more flexible in that way, the option of choose the theory classes that we want with different topics, and not being so specific in the plan.

The workload in the first year were a shit, It was a bowl of tears and frustration, and I want to blame some teachers for that, some of them were very comfy with their position of a university professor, they think we were highly knowledge artists and they even explain their classes, they have to be more open on give solutions, be focused on the progress of the students.

Like all the Campus the infrastructure it is really bad, and if I can added something(of course before I would rebuild all the Encinas) it is places to exhibit our works with an specific lightning, wall, and dimension, of course is something we don’t have ( and because no reason the teachers always complain to you, even when they know that even once in your life but you have no option and you have to put your work in the bad places because it is all taken). And We need more spaces and tools for specifics techniques like glass, the technology is getting better in some areas, but is a shit in others, because of the shortage of resources.  

I think the great solution of most of these problems are money.
